Jay Turner recently dropped the True-1 Pro Duos Championships in very abrupt fashion leaving some speculating as to the status of his future within True-1 Pro. A few months ago we received knowledge that Turner was unhappy with his position with the company and has spoken with management about a possible release from his contract.
Our sources within the company stated that he was released some time ago but was still champion and had to drop the belts before exiting the company. Our sources went on to say that Roshii didn't want to strip the inaugural champions of their titles as to not hurt the prestige of the belts and deprive a team of an all too important win.
Turner's partner TJ Stark has already been announced for the T1GP Jr. Heavyweight Tournament so it is probable that he'll make the transition to competing in that division full time. Stark is an extremely talented wrestler and is sure to find success within the division and very well could be the inaugural True-1 Pro Jr. Heavyweight Champion if he is to win the tournament.
Turner is currently the Heratige Champion in Vittoria Wrestling, so all signs point to him making that his main promotion following this exit from True-1 Pro. Nonetheless, we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors and will continue to follow his career as he seeks to make a name for himself out of True-1 Pro.
