True-1 Pro has promoted their next show, SHOWDOWN V, to be aired February 1st. The show is slated to feature likes of Robert Martyr, JP Masters, and Chris Corremont, the former two of which are set to meet for the first time in the ring as the main event of the evening.
JP Masters and Robert Martyr are two of the most highly regarded wrestlers in the industry today, both men have showcased a level of legitimacy that few are capable of matching. Their match in SHOWDOWN V's main event is expected to be a display of just how hard-hitting both men can be when placed with an opponent willing to match their intensity. It is worth noting that Martyr recently took on another member of Hybrid IV in Jay Williams, in a losing effort at the last aired VALIANT Wrestling show back in December. Will this be another loss for Martyr or will he finally get that win that cements him among the modern greats? We'll find out come February 1st, only on True-1 Pro.
Lower on the card Chris Corremont is set to take on one-half of the True-1 Pro Duos champions, Jay Turner. This is Corremont's debut in True-1 Pro, called the Contact Killer for his deadly effectiveness he is sure to make an impact as one of the newest gaijin wrestlers on the True-1 roster.
Also on the card, we have Kaito Yamazaki taking on Micah Willows in a very David v. Goliath match up. Yamazaki has been performing on the True-1 Pro house show scene for some time and has made a name for himself as a relentless technician between the ropes however he faces his largest talent to date in Willows. The last time we saw Willows was when he lost his semi-final match in the True-1 Pro World Heavyweight Championship Tournament to KENSHIN at SHOWDOWN IV. The match between these two will be an interesting clash of styles and we're excited to see what Yamazaki can do against a man of Willows' stature.
That is just a bit of information going into True-1 Pro SHOWDOWN V, their shows have never disappointed in the past and we don't expect anything but a wonderful show from True-1 Pro. Be sure to tune in on February 1st!
